Stay-At-Home G-Fest

Because G-Fest - the annual ultimate Godzilla convention for kaiju fans to meet, mingle and buy anything genre related they could possibly want - is inaccessible to quite a few fans like ourselves, we created THE-STAY-AT-HOME-G-FEST. The concept here is that we all pop in a Godzilla movie at the exact same time, and then watch it while also sitting on a chatroom discussing it and talking and so forth. Be sure to watch for news of this year's event if you wish to attend! It's a good time had by all.

G-Fest '08

This past year, The Stay-At-Home G-Fest was a success, as we watched Godzilla 2000.  The discussion covered many topics. We discussed favorite Godzilla characters, people we knew on the internet from the past, and other fun things. This section archives some of the more humorous exchanges that happened during the chat, slightly rearranged and edited for maximum comprehensibility.

Some background information is required. While JangoZilla and I were watching Godzilla 2000, The Archer was not. He stood on the sidelines, still participating in the discussion and making humorous remarks, but not watching the movie just to be obnoxious.

Prior to this, which movie to view was a constant source of debate, practically all the way up to the very day of the event! Archer saw another opportunity for jokes in this. Some say that in five minutes he had claimed to be watching three different Godzilla films.
